New York Public Library (NYPL) Cards

As a member of the Columbia Law community, you are invited to take advantage of an expedited process to apply for a New York Public Library (NYPL) card. Our online application allows students to sign up for a physical library card without needing a proof of address and without needing to stop by a NYPL branch in-person. To pick up your card, all you will need to do is show your CUID at the Law Library Information Desk.

The benefits of getting a NYPL card go beyond gaining borrowing privileges to the over 55 million items available through the 92 New York Public Library branches. You'll also be able to borrow over 300,000+ free e-booksstream movies, and learn new skills with Mango Languages and LinkedInLearning. In addition, via Culture Pass, you can get free admission to NYC  museums, galleries, music venues, and other cultural institutions, like the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Peoples' Symphony Concerts, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, the Guggenheim, and many more.
