The Law Library Special Collections are divided into two distinct parts: the rare book and manuscript collection and the archival materials related to the history of Columbia Law School. The law rare book collection is among the most impressive in the country. It includes incunabula, English reporters, statutes and yearbooks, treaties on Roman and Canon law, and an extensive collection of Imperial Russian periodicals. It also contains transcripts of the International Tribunals at Nuremberg and the Far East, as well as a first-class manuscript collection. Columbia Law School-related materials, such as yearbooks, registers, student and faculty class notes, and institutional publications, are frequently utilized by the Law School affiliates, as well as alumni and their descendants.
