Law Journals: Source Pulling and Cite-Checking Resources for Staff Members

Step 1:  Unpack the citation, identifying the full and complete title of the source.

Step 2:   Search catalogs-

• Start with Clio
• Next Pegasus
• Try Borrow Direct

Step 3:  Still no luck?  Verify the citation information is accurate and correct.

• Google the title to make sure it's correct
• Check for title in Worldcat to make sure there isn't a misspelling (etc.)
• Cardiff Index to Legal Abbreviations (helps decipher Bluebook abbreviations you can't figure out)

Step 4:  Ask Ref Desk!  We can see what other libraries might have the resource or give you some tips of other options to check.
